Helping the Helper

Why are we called “Found”? The name was inspired by the very work that you as a first responder do: show up in the darkest moments of people’s lives and bring them the relief of rescue and being found. You yourself might have experienced this relief when rescue showed up for you, or when your partner arrived to provide backup. This same relief of being found can be experienced when you are struggling emotionally or mentally. You do not have to struggle alone; we will be your backup.

Those who dedicate their lives to public services such as police, dispatchers, EMS, firefighters, or corrections officers are exposed to a wide variety of traumas and suffering. The constant, fast-paced nature of your work forces you to stay hypervigilant and on alert. Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, situations turn out in a way you hoped they wouldn’t. Political climate, department policy, interpersonal factors: all of these can take a toll on you personally, professionally, and relationally.

Our mission is to help you navigate these dynamics and find yourself again. Using a variety of solution-focused approaches, we tailor your treatment to your needs and what will work for you. Together, we will arrive at solutions that support your overall wellbeing and functioning.
